Parent Resource Center Monday Message: 3.20.23

Good evening. This week (March 20-26) is National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week – an annual, week-long health observance that inspires dialogue about drug use and addiction among youth. Substance Abuse Counselors will sponsor NDAFW in schools and help students understand the myths about drugs and alcohol. During this week, SACs will provide drug and alcohol facts to help keep APS community safe. Read more here. The PRC has recently added three new substance use videos to our website:

The Arlington Special Education Advisory Committee (ASEAC) meeting will be held tomorrow evening (Tuesday, 3.21) at 7pm. Next week, Arlington SEPTA will hold its March meeting, and the Advisory Council on Teaching and Learning’s sub-committee will sponsor a session on Social Emotional Learning (SEL) – SEL in Real Time. The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will also hold its next Equity Profile Dashboard Community Conversation with a focus on Discipline Data on March 29th.
