Superintendent Dr. Francisco Durán provided an update on planning and community engagement activities for the return to school this fall, at the June 4 School Board meeting. School Board Member Barbara Kanninen will host virtual Open Office Hours on Mon, June 8 from 5-7 p.m. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, APS is adjusting the student device replacement process. APS French students earned national recognition in the 2020 Grand Concours (National French Contest) sponsored by the American Association Teachers of French. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced that Washington-Liberty High School senior Rebecca E. Stewart and Yorktown High School senior Albert R. Johnson II earned National Merit Scholarships financed by colleges or universities.
