• Schedules all Board meetings and coordinates Board members’ schedules
• Manages all meeting materials for Board and public access
• Attends Board meetings to record formal votes and minutes
• Supervises and coordinates communications management
• Collaborates with County Board Clerk
• Ensures Board compliance with the Virginia Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
• Maintains historical records of Board functions and decisions
• Oversees posting and distribution of revised policies and Policy Implementation Procedures (PIPs)
• Manages appointments to School Board advisory groups
• Facilitates Honored Citizen recognition

• Attends Board meetings and fulfills role of the Clerk as needed
• Maintains School Board section of Web site
• Manages School Board twitter account
• Prepares and distributes School Board updates and other communications
• Manages School Board invitation calendar
• Oversees correspondence addressed to School Board, acknowledges messages and prepares draft responses
• Coordinates with APS staff to provide Board with Fact Sheets or other documents
• Creates power points and remarks for Board presentations as needed/requested

• Office Manager
• Provides clerical support to Board members, Auditor Director, Clerk and Deputy Clerk
• Assists with correspondence, email management and applications to advisory groups
• Responsible for the purchase of supplies, billing and reimbursements
• Manages the posting and distribution of agendas in compliance with FOIA
• Provides support for meetings including room reservation and setup
• Primarily responsible for arrangements of special events and receptions
• Facilitates scheduling Board member liaison school visits
