Home Instruction

Frequently thought of as Homeschooling, APS uses the state term Home Instruction. Homeschooling is called Home Instruction under VA law. Arlington parents/guardians who wish to homeschool their children are required to notify APS and Virginia.

Following APS Home Instruction Policy and notification procedures ensure both APS and homeschooling families are in compliance with state and federal law.
