Parent Resource Center Monday Message: 5.1.23

May 1, 2023

Good evening, and Happy May to each of you! We are excited to acknowledge and celebrate the amazing work of our Speech and Language Pathologists (SLPs) during Better Speech and Hearing Month.

We agree with Kylie Romanowicz of the Michigan State University Extension who writes:

“Communication is the foundation for all human relationships. We use communication as a tool to share with others, understand, resolve conflicts, collaborate and build warm and trusting relationships.”

We salute and thank our SLPs for working closely with families and staff to support students in accessing effective communication skills, strategies and tools.

As we acknowledge Better Speech and Hearing Month, we look forward to our Spring Virtual Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Supper Club, and invite our whole community to join us online this Wednesday evening to learn more about AAC from 6-7pm. Please see the details in our Events section.
