Cardinal’s CHIRP Team Builds Unity and Empathy

Cardinal Elementary School’s CHIRP (Cooperation, Honesty, Including others, Respect and Perseverance) Team members are fourth and fifth-grade student volunteers led by counselors Christina Quinn and Gina Rocco.  The CHIRP team helps promote the Cardinal motto with schoolwide activities.

This month, the team will provide every class with a blank puzzle piece to decorate as a class in any way they want.  The CHIRP team will collect all the puzzle pieces and put them together to build a giant word “Together” to be displayed in the hallway as: Cardinal, We Fit Together!

The CHIRP team is also sponsoring a holiday food drive to support the Arlington Food Assistance Center.  They will be collecting and sorting non-perishables to be donated before Thanksgiving break.
