APS welcomes volunteers who wish to support schools and school-sponsored activities. Volunteers must complete an application and state-mandated Safe Schools Training.
The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a key way for families to engage with their schools, support student learning, and strengthen the school community. APS encourages parents and guardians to join their school PTA and participate in events, advocacy, and volunteer opportunities.
Citizen Advisory Groups
APS has over 30 volunteer-led advisory committees focusing on topics such as curriculum, equity, and facilities planning. These groups provide input to the School Board and APS leadership.
The ENGAGE platform allows community members to learn about School Board initiatives, participate in discussions, and provide feedback.
