Open Office Hours allow community members to meet with School Board members, either one-on-one or in small groups, to share comments and concerns and discuss various topics. Board members take turns hosting these sessions throughout the year, both in-person and virtually. To view the schedule, visit the Open Office Hours webpage. Please note that scheduling is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.

The format for Ms. Tapia-Hadley Open Office Hours on September 8 will be as follows:

  • 6 – 8 p.m.: Ms. Tapia-Hadley will meet individually with participants for 10-minute, one-on-one conversations.
  • To schedule an individual meeting, participants must sign up in advance using the SignUp Genius link, which will be available from Fri, Sept. 5 at 3 p.m. until Mon, Sept. 8 at 3 p.m. Time slots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Key Guidelines for Open Office Hours:

  • Each participant will have 10 minutes to speak with the Board member.

  • Participants are expected to be courteous and respectful and adhere to the 10-minute time frame. If a participant becomes disruptive, the meeting may end early.
  • Personnel matters are confidential, and Board members cannot comment on or provide opinions regarding such topics. Silence on these matters should not be interpreted as a particular stance.
  • Comments should focus on issues related to Arlington Public Schools. Personal attacks or statements unrelated to school business are not appropriate for discussion.

Following Open Office Hours:

Participants can submit written comments to the School Board at [email protected]. A copy of your remarks will be shared with all Board members.
