APS Announces Senior Regional Orchestra

Congratulations to the following five APS students who were selected among hundreds of students who auditioned in October for the Northern Virginia Senior Regional Orchestra.

  • Samuel Brosse – piano, Tessa Green – violin, Alexander Joe – string bass, Yorktown High School
  • Ellsie Seward – viola, Washington-Liberty High School
  • Josephine Van Hoey – violin, Wakefield High School

These students participated in the Northern Virginia Senior Regional Orchestra event Nov. 7-9 at Hayfield Secondary School in Alexandria. The orchestra was led by guest conductor, Dietrich Paredes. Membership in senior regional orchestra is a qualifying event for All-Virginia Orchestra auditions that will take place in February.
