Dear APS Community,
We share our condolences with everyone in the APS community who has been impacted by the loss of loved ones in the aviation accident that occurred near Reagan National Airport. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families and everyone affected.
We recognize these tragedies touch us all. APS remains focused on providing support and counseling services for our students and staff who may need them. Students may connect with their school counselor, psychologist, or social worker, and staff may wish to seek resources from the Employee Assistance Program. For families who may be concerned about how to talk with their students regarding these events, the resources below may be helpful:

I also want to thank our local first responders and emergency personnel who have been instrumental in responding to this crisis.
Let’s continue to stand together to support one another.
Sincerely,
Dr. Francisco Durán
Superintendent
