$2.1 million CIP approved for critical notification systems upgrades at nine schools (2025).

Completed security vestibules and entrance renovations across APS.

$303,625 VDOE School Security Grant funds utilized for:

New video surveillance cameras (primarily elementary schools).
Access control improvements.
Critical notification system upgrades.
New handheld radios.
New security podiums (comprehensive high schools).
Visitor management system upgrades and new signage (APS-wide).
Data-driven security camera analysis resulting in ~$225,000 savings over 5 years, and additional savings to other APS departments.
