Cardinal Elementary School - Arlington Public Schools

Project Information: The School Board adopted FY 2017-2026 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) included a project to expand the existing Reed School at 1644 N McKinley Road to create a new elementary school with at least 725 seats, to be completed for the 2021-22 school year, at a maximum cost of $55.0 million. In addition to the school facility, APS and Arlington County are partnering to construct a stormwater detention vault beneath the play fields. Details are provided in the Project Updates section.
