Family and Community Engagement (FACE)

Supporting meaningful family-school relationships that help every student thrive.

At Arlington Public Schools, we believe that strong partnerships between families, schools, and the community are essential to student success. Family and Community Engagement (FACE) is an instructional approach that strengthens learning by recognizing families as partners and leaders in education. This website is designed to support families by sharing resources, information, and opportunities to engage, learn, and grow alongside their children’s educational journey.

School-Based FACE Action Teams

School-Based FACE Action Coordinators

The FACE Action Team is a special committee that supports a school’s vision and action plan.

  • FACE Teams work together to:
    • Review school data, design, coordinate, and implement high-impact strategies that foster student academic success and well-being.
    • Build capacity among parents and educators, with an aim to narrow the achievement and opportunity gaps in APS.
