APS is using SchooLinks for College & Career Planning
What is SchooLinks?
SchooLinks is a modern college and career readiness platform designed to help students prepare for life after graduation. It supports students in discovering their strengths and interests, exploring college and career options, and building personalized academic and career plans. All APS students and families in grades K–12 will have access to SchooLinks. We’re excited that APS is transitioning to SchooLinks as our official college, career, and work-based learning planning platform!

- All students are encouraged to log in and complete OnBoarding, which includes a career interest survey called Find Your Path.
- In the survey, students answer questions to:

SchooLinks Course Planner
Starting in January 2026, students in grades 6-11 will use SchooLinks Course Planner to select courses for next school year. This process is about more than picking classes, students will explore courses and build their academic plans towards graduation. It’s a personalized journey that helps students shape their future. School Counselors will continue to work individually with students to ensure they stay on track for graduation.
Students will also clearly be able to see what course requirements have been met to support short and long-term planning for graduation. Course Planner will enable school counselors to digitally review student course plans and view students’ progression toward meeting graduation requirements. It is important to keep in mind that Course Planner is a planning platform useful for students, parents/guardians and counselors to plot the student’s educational pathway and is not the student’s schedule.
Parents/guardians must review and acknowledge their student’s course plans. This allows parents/guardians to actively engage in academic advising with their student and School Counselor.
Once a student submits their academic plan for approval, their school counselor will review and ensure the student is on track toward graduation. Once the plan is approved by the school counselor, the parent/guardian will receive an email notification with instructions about how to review and acknowledge the student’s academic plan.
