19 Arlington Tech Seniors Achieve Associates Degrees
Nineteen seniors from Arlington Tech’s Class of 2025 are graduating with associate degrees from Northern Virginia Community College, representing the largest number from any school across seven Northern Virginia districts.
These students earned their degrees through APS’ growing dual enrollment program, which allows students to take college courses alongside high school classes. Arlington Tech students account for half of all high school students in Northern Virginia earning associate degrees this year, a rare accomplishment statewide. The program supports academic achievement, college readiness and financial savings, with this year’s degrees valued at over $247,000 in college credits.
All 19 graduates plan to attend four-year colleges, including UVA, Virginia Tech, George Mason and Johns Hopkins, with several being first-generation college students.
Since launching the associate degree track in 2021, Arlington Tech has steadily grown participation, from 7 graduates in 2021 to 19 in 2025, highlighting strong student interest and successful support systems.
