Wakefield Senior Wins Girls State Wrestling Championship

Wakefield senior Cameron Millsapps (pictured far left) won the VHSL Girls State Championship, becoming the school’s first-ever girls state champion.

Cameron, a second-year wrestler competing at 152 lbs, dominated the Girls State Tournament, winning all her matches by pinning all three of her opponents. She ended the season with a perfect 28-0 record.

This is the third season of the Wakefield girls’ wrestling program.
