Strengthening Families Program
In Partnership with Arlington County, the Strengthening Families Program is a 7-week interactive workshop for students ages 10–14 and their parents/caregivers. The program helps families build skills in communication, goal-setting, resisting peer pressure, managing stress and emotions, problem-solving together, and using positive discipline, all while having fun!
Participants enjoy a free catered dinner and childcare for children ages 1–9.
Format: The sessions are facilitated in different spaces in English and Spanish. Students 10-14 attend their own youth session in another room.

Arlington Community Learning (ACL) offers a wide variety of enrichment and personal development classes for adults and youth in Arlington. For nearly 90 years, ACL has provided opportunities to learn new skills, explore hobbies, and continue lifelong learning. Programs include adult education (GED and more), online courses, and a Youth Enrichment Program (YEP).

Tech for Families Series (Workforce Development)
In collaboration with Edu-Futuro, the Workforce Development series offers: Tech for Families computer/smartphone literacy course, Resume & Cover Letter Workshop, Individual Job Counseling, and Financial Empowerment Network workshops.
Format: Sessions range from 6-10 weeks. Facilitated in Spanish.

The Alliance for Arlington Senior Programs offers free digital skills training open to all adults, regardless of age or income. The classes are intended for learners who are new to using a computer and want to build confidence while staying safe online.
Registration is preferred but not required. However, classes will be capped at 20 learners. The Arlington Mill computer lab is fully set up with desktop computers. Participants may bring their own device.

Project Family / Proyecto Familia: Project Family provides parents and caregivers of children ages 0 to 5 with hands-on experiences, practical strategies, and a support network that strengthen parent-child relationships.
FLIP IT! Series: FLIP IT!® is a FREE weekly 1.5 hour virtual course that meets online for 5 weeks, to provide tools for parents to increase communication with their children and help manage challenging behaviors. FLIP IT offers practical strategies for addressing challenging behaviors in children.
Parenting Wisely: Learn constructive skills designed by family and social scientists to equip parents like you with the tools necessary to engage your children in difficult family situations. Your children will benefit from your learning redirection, active listening, setting limits and consequences, and how to foster good social skills.
